RVmagnetics Founder Professor Varga Joins IEEE Magnetics Society Technical Committee

RVmagnetics is proud to announce that its founder and Chairman of the Board, Prof. RNDr. Rastislav Varga DrSc , has been appointed to the “Working Group 7 – Industry Involvement” of the Technical Committee of the IEEE Magnetics Society. The appointment was formally approved on March 21, 2025.

The IEEE Magnetics Society’s Technical Committee is composed of various working groups, each dedicated to advancing research, standardization, and international collaboration in specific areas of magnetics. Working Group 7 focuses on fostering stronger industry involvement, connecting academic breakthroughs with real-world applications and commercial impact.

The IEEE Magnetics Society is dedicated to the advancement of science, technology, applications, and training in magnetism. It promotes global collaboration and supports the education of the next generation of engineers and scientists. The organization upholds the highest standards of technical competence and professional integrity.

Who is Prof. Rastislav Varga?

Prof. Varga’s appointment underscores his longstanding dedication to innovation and industry-academic cooperation. As CEO of RVactuators (founded in 2024) and the driving force behind RVmagnetics (established in 2015), he has consistently bridged the gap between research excellence and industrial relevance. In addition to his entrepreneurial ventures, Prof. Varga served as a Board Member of the European Magnetism Association and serves as a Member of the European Physical Society.

Prof. Varga, an esteemed physicist, is the author of all RVmagnetics patents, with a prolific research record of over 240 scientific publications and more than 3,000 citations. His leadership continues to shape the landscape of magnetism-based technologies and sensor innovation.
